Dedicated Staff
The Teacher is the guide in the classroom. She is constantly interacting with the children; supporting them in their decision making, providing quality learning experiences, opportunities to build independence and become an integral part of the classroom community. The Teacher/ Guides at Hajja's House wear the title of Ummi or Mother. Each class is led by an experienced Ummi, formally educated in the field of education or related area of study, has a satisfactory records check and participates in on going trainings as mandated by the state.She is well versed in the Quran and maintains a high level of sound moral character.
First-Rate Curriculum
- We use the Quran as a guide, Montessori Curriculum Guides, Montessori Materials and resources.
- We encourage curiosity about the natural world through our Building Khalifa / Environmental Education program.
- At Hajja's House our 1.3 acres and nine raised garden beds serves as our outdoor classroom ; where children explore living things and learn where their food source comes from. Children are involved in the daily tasks of family and community life.
- Children help prepare snack, arrange flowers for the tables and clean up after them selves .
- Language and Literacy are at the heart of our programing. A rich print environment and powerful stories are used to foster a love for reading and writing.
- Hajja's House offers children an opportunity to explore their creativity through our children's theater workshops in our very own Ibrahim's Theater!
Our Mission
The Mission of Hajja’s House is to provide an exceptional, faith based, developmentally appropriate, program for children ages 6 months to 12 years.
Our goal is to cultivate Islamic values, good character, literacy, purposeful play and use the natural environment as an essential part of the program design.
Thus creating a future generation of G’d conscious, morally sound, effective green leaders.
